Unfortunately, as most Switch owners know by now, this new port of DOOM comes with an additional, very bitter pill to swallow. Slight drops in frame rate here and there during more frantic moments of gameplay do little to dampen the overall experience. For a game that’s now celebrating its 25th anniversary, it still holds up incredibly well to this day, and runs at a pretty smooth pace for the most part. Graphically, though, DOOM looks pretty great – about as good you’d expect it to look. This does not look like a promising situation. The iconic, Metallica-inspired music is noticeably slower than it should be – something that even the most casual fan will notice during the game’s opening stage. The sound quality, in particular, is a bit hit and miss. The game has, of course, come to Nintendo platforms before, but this is by far the most technically sound version of the game to date. Anyone with a modicum of interest in shooters can jump into DOOM, pick any one of its four ‘episodes’ and spend a good amount of time blasting away a range of vicious demons. That’s really all you need to know about the plot to have a good time with DOOM.

Hey people, just stopped by to drop in some advice regarding installing and playing the game Instead of being in narrow halls where you can pretty easily guess when a monster will pop up, you're wondering through alleys and flooded halls where monsters can often be waiting to ambush you. One might think this is counterproductive, but it actually works in the games favor. So the design goes from being small and confining to large and foreboding.
Instead of the narrow halls of Phobos, Deimos and Hell, you now face of against hoards of the hellspawn in the cities, towns, suburbs, and facilities of Earth. But what really sets Doom and Doom 2 apart from one another is the level design and story bits (the message screens). Six new monsters and one new weapon which became the most popular in the series next to the BFG9000. It your character (Doomguy) as he accepts the ungodly fact that hell's monsters have made it here before he could stop it. Doom II: Hell on Earth the direct continuation that picks up right where Doom left off. Only now it seems hell has some new toys to play with, but little do they know, so do you!
Now on Earth, you'll find yourself fighting through hellspawn from the deepest depths of sewers to the highest of towering cities. The sequel to the most legendary shooter of all time keeps all the guts and gore of the original while also adding much more in terms of level design.
